Epson DX5 Print Head VS GEN5 Print Head, Which One is Better?

   GEN5 print heads becomes more and more popular recently years, and it is especially common seen in a UV flat printer. Then compared with Epson DX5 print heads, which one is better?

  The DX5 print heads

   Advantages: 

   1. Print effect ranked first.

2. The price is relatively cheap.

3. The nozzle can print 5mm radian products.

4. Suitable equipment type is broad, the consumable material such as the sublimation ink is easy to buy, the maintenance cost is low.

Disadvantages:

1. The EPSON DX5 print head uses ABS material, the nozzle's anti-corrosion and fluency is not so good.

GEN5 print heads

Advantages: 

 1, Ricoh G5 Nozzle is a real industrial-grade nozzle, it was developed based on the technology of Ricoh G4 nozzle by the Japanese Ricoh Company. It uses closed stainless steel floor, so that the nozzle with anti-collision, scratch-resistant function, no longer worry about the nozzle was smashed, or scraped. Ricoh 5 is not easy to be bothered by the work environment (there is constant temperature and circuit insulation system). Not affected by the ink temperature viscosity (applicable to a variety of inks, printing image clear. Out of ink flow).

   2. Ricoh G5 nozzle has a faster speed and higher precision. Now the standard of Ricoh Nozzle is 7PL, it means Gen5 print head has a large improvement in efficiency.

Disadvantages:

2. The print heads are is bundled with the ribbon wire. If there is a problem with the wire, the nozzle will be scrapped.

How to Refill the Ink Cartridge of Epson SureColor F-series Printer?

   

   For people who use the Epson inkjet printer, refill the ink cartridge when it is empty is an essential skills for them. If you still don’t know, just take it easy, and we will give you the tips.

  1) Take the ink cartridge down from the printer.You can choose wear a glove if you think the cartridge may dirty your hands.

  2) Take the old chip away, and reset a new chip with the chip resetter. If you use the Epson original ink, then there will be a chip on the pack . Of course, you can also use the replacement chip.

  3) Pull the sublimation ink into the ink cartridge. Be careful, you must refill the cartridge with the right color.

  4) Use a hot glue gun to seal the filling hole. If it is not sealed well the cartridge will leak ink. The objective is to make certain that the filling hole is completely sealed.

   5) Replace the ink cartridge and if possible let the cartridge sit in the printer for 8 hours. This will give the ink time to stabilize in the cartridge.

  The process is not difficult at all. As long as you practice several times, you can be familiar with it.

  When you use a Epson sublimation printer, the biggest cost is paying for new printer cartridges.Epson has manufactured the majority of their inkjet cartridges with “smart chips” since 2000. These chips transmit a signal to the printer when empty. They will also “remember” that the printer cartridge is empty when it has been refilled forcing the consumer to learn how to reset an Epson printer cartridge to use the newly filled cartridge.Today, we will discuss how to reset the Epson cartridge chip to refill the ink cartridge.

  There are the common ways for people to reset the cartridge chip, and then we will talk about them one by one.

  1. Using the Epson printer cartridge reset tool

  A Epson chip reset tool is a small plastic piece that fits against the cartridge, it not only used to allow consumers to refill cartridges, but can also permit cartridges to be used until truly empty. Here are the steps.

   Step 1: Take the ink cartridge away from the Epson printer.

   Step 2:  Aligning the cartridge and the marks at the base of the reset tool.

  Step 3: Press the reset tool pins firmly against the chip contacts on the cartridge for several seconds. A blinking red light will indicate that there is solid contact between the cartridge and the device.

  Step 4: Keep the tool pressed against the cartridge until the green LED on the tool illuminates and begins to blink. This will indicate that the cartridge has been reset.

  2. Resetting Epson cartridge with software

  A freeware program called SSC Service Utility enables users to download and install software that helps to manage their Epson printer. The software offers several functions, one of which is resetting the ink cartridge chip. Other settings allow users to freeze the internal ink counters or to reset the internal ink counters. It supports over 100 Epson printer models, but some printers may not respond to the commands from the software. You can also use Cracked Cartridge Chip if you don't know how to use the software.
