Have you ever installed the ink cartridge of your Epson desktop printer like Epson Expression series and Work Force series printer? Here are the common methods for you, you can have a try next time.
1. Press the button to turn on your inkjet printer.
2. The LED screen will show you which ink cartridges are empty and need change. Hit “PROCEED” and follow the instructions on the screen.
3. Lift up the scanner unit (not just the scanner cover), to expose the ink cartridges.
4. Take up the ink cartridge after the print head has stopped. Remember that it is not allowed to touch the print head and the flat white cable inside the printer.
5. Squeeze the tab at the back of the cartridge you want to replace toward you and pull the cartridge straight up. It should slide out easily with a little wiggling at most. Be careful when you handle the spent cartridge, as leftover ink residue can stain your clothing, furniture, carpet, or hands. If you get ink on your hands, wash it thoroughly with soap and water. In the event ink sprays into your eye, flush it with cool water until clean. Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children for all the reasons listed above.
6. Before open the new cartridges, shake them up and down gently in 4~5 times. Shaking helps redistribute the ink throughout the cartridge if it has settled.
7. Take out the cartridges from the plastic package, and tear off the yellow tape that seals the cartridge. Remember do not take off anything else off except the yellow tape, because：
1）Do not remove the other seals as this will result in leaking.
2）Do not touch the green chip on the cartridge.
3）Do not remove the label.
8. Insert the cartridge straight down into the carriage until it clicks. Repeat process for any other cartridges in need of replacement.
9. Close the cartridge cover. Select “CHECK” on the LED screen to make sure the cartridge is installed correctly. If so, close the scanner lid.
10. Your printer unit will priming the new cartridges in a few minutes, and when it finished, you can see on message on the LED screen which tell you the printer is ready to print.
